WINNERS Education Society is deeply committed to empowering women in rural Rajasthan. We believe that educated and empowered women are essential for building strong families and thriving communities. Our efforts focus on providing access to education, promoting health and well-being, and creating opportunities for women to achieve their full potential.
Addressing the Educational Gap:
A significant challenge in rural areas is the limited access to higher education for girls. Recognizing this need, we established a higher education college in Soyla. Previously, girls in this area had to travel approximately 60 KM to access higher education facilities, a barrier that often prevented them from pursuing their studies. Our college has brought higher education within reach, providing girls with the opportunity to learn, grow, and shape their own futures. We are proud that over 65% of the students in our institutes are girls, a testament to the impact of our efforts.
Holistic Empowerment:
Our commitment to women’s empowerment goes beyond education. We recognize that true empowerment requires a holistic approach that addresses various aspects of women’s lives.
- Empowering Mothers: Health and Nutrition: We recently and successfully completed the “Empowering Mothers: General Awareness & Traditional Food Supplement Distribution Program.” This program provided vital information on health, nutrition, and childcare, empowering mothers with the knowledge and resources to care for themselves and their families. The distribution of traditional food supplements further supported their well-being.
Our Vision for the Future:
While we are proud of the progress we have made, we recognize that there is still much work to be done. We aspire to expand our efforts in women’s empowerment and create even more opportunities for girls and women in rural Rajasthan. We are committed to:
- Expanding Access to Education: We aim to further expand access to higher education and vocational training programs for girls, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.
- Promoting Leadership and Skill Development: We plan to implement programs that foster leadership skills, build self-confidence, and provide women with the tools they need to become leaders in their communities.
- Addressing Health and Well-being: We want to expand our health and awareness programs to address critical issues affecting women, such as reproductive health, hygiene, and mental well-being.
